Jeffrey is an actor known for his work onstage in New York with the Public Theater, Playwrights’ Realm, Ma-Yi Theater Company, and National Asian American Theater Company, and around the country with Arena Stage, Weston Playhouse, St. Louis Rep, Hartford Stage, and more. He was recently seen on television in “Hawaii Five-0,” “Succession,” “Elementary,” “Limitless,” “The Blacklist,” “The Interestings,” “High Maintenance". His voiceover work can be heard in more than 50 films and television shows.
He has helped developed new plays for dozens of theater companies across the country, including the Sundance Theater Lab, Lincoln Center’s Directors Lab, New York Stage and Film, and Portland Center Stage, and for writers Craig Lucas, Martyna Mayok, Itamar Moses, Clarence Coo, Sam Chanse, Jake Brasch, Jennifer Maisel, Kate Cortesi, Geoffrey Thorne, Laura Jacqmin, A. Rey Pamatmat, Chris Wilson, Nandita Shenoy, Tony Meneses, Carey Perloff, Lauren Yee, Deepa Purohit, James Ijames, Gene Wang, Don Nguyen, Lloyd Suh, and many more.
He is a twice-elected officer of Actors’ Equity Association—the AFL-CIO chartered labor union representing more than 50,000 stage managers and actors, where he co-chairs the LORT Committee, overseeing contracts at more than 80 theater companies across the country, including Lincoln Center, Roundabout, Manhattan Theater Club, and Second Stage. He was a recent candidate for New York City Council District 6 (Upper West Side) and named to City & State’s “2021 NYC Labor 40 Under 40”. He’s a founding member of Fair Wage Onstage and Be An #ArtsHero, an original member of New Yorkers for Culture and Arts Advocates in Residence, and serves on Equality New York’s Advisory Council as a member of its Racial Justice Committee. He’s a proud graduate of the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama.
